واو الحال

The واو الحال (wāw al-ḥāl) is a special kind of conjunction in Arabic grammar. It’s a “waw” (و) that connects a sentence describing a state or condition (called the “حال”) to the main sentence. This “حال” provides extra information about the subject of the main sentence at the time of the action.
