Ibn al-Ukhuwwa (ضياء الدين محمد بن محمد القرشي الشافعي), also known as Diya’ al-Din Muhammad ibn Muhammad al-Qurashi al-Shafi’i, was a notable Islamic scholar who lived during the 13th and early 14th centuries. He is best known for his work on the principles of hisba (الحسبة), which involves the regulation of markets and public morality in Islamic societies.
