The Banū Qaynuqā’ (بَنُو قَيْنُقاع) were one of the three major Jewish tribes in Medina during the time of the Prophet Muhammad. Known for their wealth and craftsmanship, especially goldsmithing, they were eventually expelled from Medina after a conflict with the Muslims. The conflict arose after the Banū Qaynuqā’ violated their treaty with the Muslims and engaged in hostilities that led to their expulsion.
