الْجُمْلةُ الْإِنْشائِيّة

1 post

A الجملة الإنشائية (al-Jumla al-Inshā’iyya) – so-called affective sentence – refers to a type of sentence in Arabic grammar that is used to express commands, requests, wishes, or exclamations, rather than stating facts. These sentences are often used to convey emotions or to prompt actions, and they do not have a truth value (i.e., they are neither true nor false). Examples include imperative sentences, such as “اكتب” (write), and exclamatory sentences, like “ما أجمل السماء!” (How beautiful the sky is!).
