The Five Nouns (الأسماء الخمسة) are a special category of nouns that have unique case endings. These nouns are: أب (father), أخ (brother), حم (father-in-law), فو (mouth) and ذو (possessor). These nouns change their endings based on their grammatical case (nominative, accusative or genitive).
